Privacy policy

This policy explains what information calculatecagr.com (“we”, “us”, “the site”) handles when you use it, and the choices you have. The short version: the numbers you type into our calculators never leave your device, we don’t require an account, and we don’t sell personal data.
Information you enter into the calculators
Every calculation — CAGR, reverse CAGR, yearly data and comparisons — runs entirely in your web browser. Your inputs are not transmitted to us or stored on any server. When you close or reload the page they are gone, unless they are in the page address (see below).
Share links and downloads
- When you calculate, your inputs are written into the page address so you can bookmark a result. If you copy or share that link, anyone who opens it can see those numbers.
- “Download for Excel” creates the file on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical data when your browser requests a page: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages requested and the date and time. This is used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors, and is retained for a limited period by the host.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We store a single preference in your browser’s local storage — whether you chose the light or dark theme — so the site remembers it. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Analytics and advertising
The site currently runs no third-party analytics or advertising. If we add either in the future, we will update this policy before it goes live, describe what is collected, and where required ask for your consent and provide a way to opt out.
Contacting us by email
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed. The contact form on our site simply opens your own email app; it does not send or store anything itself.
Third-party links
We may link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle data.
Children’s privacy
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its use. Because we don’t collect calculator inputs or build profiles, in practice the only personal data we may hold is an email you sent us. To make a request, email contact@calculatecagr.com. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Because your calculations stay on your device, there is no stored calculator data that could be exposed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be noted on this page.
